Thanks for Serving Our Country
I have a cousin who is currently serving his second tour in Iraq. His duties include filming documentaries for the military as well as capturing the day to day events in photos and video. I think he is very talented when it comes to producing these videos and I thought I would share one of them with you. Our family is very proud of his service to our country and are looking forward to his safe return home.

The $64,000 Question
In a recent interview of President Obama on the ABC News concerning the Health Care Plan, he was asked the following question.
“MR. PRESIDENT
WILL YOU AND YOUR FAMILY GIVE UP YOUR CURRENT HEALTH CARE PROGRAM
AND JOIN THE NEW “UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAM” THAT THE REST OF US WILL BE ON ???“
(BET YOU ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER)
THERE WAS A STONEY SILENCE AS OBAMA IGNORED THE QUESTION AND CHOSE NOT TO ANSWER IT !!!
IN ADDITION, A NUMBER OF SENATORS WERE ASKED THE SAME QUESTION AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS… ”WE WILL THINK ABOUT IT.”
AND THEY DID! IT WAS ANNOUNCED ON THE NEWS THE “KENNEDY HEALTH CARE BILL” WAS WRITTEN INTO THE NEW HEALTH CARE REFORM INITIATIVE ENSURING CONGRESS WILL BE 100% EXEMPT !
SO, THIS GREAT NEW HEALTH CARE PLAN THAT IS GOOD FOR YOU AND I… IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR OBAMA, HIS FAMILY OR CONGRESS !!! WE (THE AMERICAN PUBLIC) NEED TO STOP THIS PROPOSED DEBACLE ASAP !!! THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG !!!
PERSONALLY, I CAN ONLY ACCEPT A UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE OVERHAUL THAT EXTENDS TO EVERYONE… NOT JUST US LOWLY CITIZENS… WHILE THE WASHINGTON “ELITE” KEEP RIGHT ON WITH THEIR GOLD-PLATED HEALTH CARE COVERAGE’S.
Socialized Medicine is not right for America
I totally agree that every person in America and the entire World for that matter should be entitled to basic health care. But that health care should be a personal arrangement between Patient and Doctor. The Government has no business getting involved with the administration and dispensing of health care benefits. It should be obvious from their past track record that they don’t know how to run a program of this magnitude.
Consider the Insurance companies and their involvement in deciding what medicines they will and will not pay for. Then what about the medical tests or procedures that they refuse to pay for. How about those “pre-existing” illnesses that they won’t cover. I have personal experience with that one. Let’s not even go there.
I just believe that health care is something that should be provided and administered on the local level. If the Government wants to get involved at the national level, then they just need to make some of our tax money available to health care providers at the local level.
Those in favor of the health care bill currently before Congress often play on people’s emotions to convince them that this is the right thing to do. Socialized Medicine is not right for America. Not only do we deserve health care at a reasonable cost, but we should expect to get quality health care at a reasonable cost. Socialized Medicine will result in a lower quality of care for everyone, especially the poor.
In 1961, Ronald Reagan made a speech against Socialized Medicine. What he said back then still applies today. It is well worth a listen.
Concerned about the Swine Flu?
It seems like all we heard about on the news for several weeks was the Swine Flu. Even though the panic has appeared to have subsided a little, that doesn’t mean we should drop our guard. Just a simple thing like washing your hands and covering your mouth when you sneeze can help minimize the spread of the Swine Flu (H1N1) virus. If you or your children are unfortunate enough to get the flu, then by all means stay home from work or school. Being around crowds of people is the worst thing you can do when something like the Flu is going around.

Captain Rescued
I am relieved to hear that a U.S. Navy SEALS team has rescued Captain Richard Phillips today from the hands of the Pirates off the coast of Somalia. The SEALS shot and killed three of the four captors during the rescue operation.
I agree that this was the correct action to take in this situation. We cannot negotiate with Pirates or Terrorists. But more needs to be done to help the people of Somalia so that they have other options than becoming pirates.
