Computer covers keep your computer protected from dust and dirt.  Dust is common in the home, office and workshop. Dust covers for computers are not expensive.  Most dust or dirt can be wiped, shaken, or vacuumed from the computer cover surface.  This is most common for computer monitor covers where visibility is important.  Keyboard dust covers are also necessary, and several models allow for leaving the cover installed while typing.

PC covers are commonly used in industrial situations where dust and dirt can reduce the reliability and life of the computer.  Critical computers components that are exposed to dust and dirt, particularly the mechanical components like the keyboard and CD-ROM can cease to operate without warning, and many times cannot be repaired once damaged by these contaminants.
